I was expediting in hopes of learning about California cuisine so I could transition from fashion photography to food. Robbie, who would later go on to helm Jardiniere, Bacar and the stoves at Oracle, was on the other side of the line shoving hot plates my direction, flanked by the likes of Paul Arenstam (Americano, Summer Kitchen + Bake Shop), Richard Reddington (Redd) and of course Traci.
